Important players in peace- building and peacekeeping such as the UN Peace- building Commission and Support Office, the UN De- partment for Peacekeeping Operations and the Swiss government are currently reflecting on past strategies and on the changing inter- national context in order to formulate new avenues to respond to violent conflicts.
