The founding societies of USGEB (Union of Swiss Societies of Experimental Biology) have merged, creating the largest Life Science Society in Switzerland, LS2. USGEB, founded in 1969 around Prof. Ewald Weibel, was the first initiative in Switzerland to gather scientists from different societies in the emerging field of experimental biology, and to represent their concerns and interests towards the public. After a modernization process that led to their unification and fusion into a single life science network, LS2 is being launched with new perspectives and actions. More updates on activities, such as travel grants will be found from 1 January on this website.
