You will develop data-driven and/or process-based models to study the frequency, drivers of, and/or future changes in compound climate and/or hydrological extremes in mountain regions. You will publish your results in scientific journals and present them at international conferences. The work location will be at SLF in Davos with the possibility to collaborate closely with people at the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich.

You hold a PhD degree in climate sciences, environmental sciences/engineering, hydrology, data science, or a closely related field. We seek candidates with strong skills in programming (e.g. R or Python), statistics, machine learning, and data science. A good publication record with respect to your career stage and research interests in climate extremes in mountain regions complete your profile. We encourage applications from enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who have very good oral and written communication skills in English. You are motivated to work in an interdisciplinary and international working environment and you would enjoy living in a beautiful and varied mountain environment.
